The reason everyone thinks you're an idiot is because you're arrogant as hell and you are essentially bragging on yourself.

It's like a NBA basketball player saying, "Damn, I'm so poor. I only made $30 million dollars this year. Ah gosh, Bill Gates has several billions. I can't believe I'm so poor." All of this when 99% of the general population is worse off.

You could have easily asked for advice on how to improve your already impressive scores. Instead, you were a jerk about it.

As I said in one of my earlier posts... I really did not try to offend anyone, and I'm sorry if I did. I tried to edit the main post, but it wouldn't let me. You have to understand that I'm not bragging. I really DO think these are low. My parents think these are low. My friends think these are low. I have the lowest score out of any of my friends. I really am worried. I'm not trying to sound arrogant at all. I don't have enough confidence right now to be arrogant.

where are you from Akaichi? It does hurt your app a little if your friends have higher scores. But, guess what, you are the valedictorian (me too!), and even if ten other ppl with higher scores (think about it, the difference between a 1400 and a 1500 is like three-five problems) applied, the adcom can't ignore the fact that you out-performed them in school...now that's what I call hard work and determination. :) Good luck.

Don't fret akaichi you have a great shot and are a very competitive applicant.. understand that at ivies the decisions are up in the air but nonetheless your stats are suffice for a top10 university.. id like to wish the best of the luck..

Catch-22: I'm from New York.
Thank you both very much for all your help, hehe. ^_^ I always thought scores were a make-or-break thing. At least, that's what I was taught. (Curse those counselors, lol xD...)
So yes, let me know if I can ever help you two out. Best of luck to you both!
(And btw- johnst... I wrote you a couple tips. Sorry I couldn't add more, but Catch-22 is too smart and said most of what I was going to say, lol.)

lol thanks a lot your input was greatly appreciated and best of you luck to you.. where in NY are you I have a couple friends in long island and family in NYC

Oh, darn.... I'm up north by the lakes... I've always wanted to visit NYC, though, since I'm such a suburbian. xD;;; My school is going there for a trip, but it costs too much. Lol... it's as if they think we're made of cash.

Akaichi and Johnst, I would very much like you guys to look over my stats, but I do not feel all that comfortable posting them. (my ECs are quite specific and stuff). Do you think that I can leave both of you like a private message or something and you can give me some feedback? Thanks a lot. I hate the college admissions process btw.

Sure private message is fine, yeah I was pretty hesitant about posting my stats but I did anyways since I don't really know anyone on the board..

akaichi: wow def take a visit to nyc lol.. lots of fun, just bring $$ haha

Catch-22: Sure ^_^. I'd love to. It's the least I can do.
And yeah: We're all with you on that one. Anyone who DOESN'T hate this process, is not human. Lol. It's so pathetic that we spend our whole youths trying to impress some random people who don't even really care about us. We hate needing them... and yet we do. Ugh. It's annoying as heck. >D;;

johnst: sigh Ahh, if only I had some $$, lol... ^^

Akaichi, I sent a private message to you. I really appreciate any feedback you can give me. And yes, I hate myself for caring so much about the process...errrrr...it kills me slowly...

i got two words for you....shut up....when i came into this post i was expecting to see a 1000 SAT score...but you have a 1440 ...that is good man ... no one is perfect....
