Hey everyone,
well, i checked my HFS application, and it says i'm in Terry on the 6th floor for the upcoming quarter. so how does terry measure up for anyone that's lived there?

I am going to be blunt; unfortunately, Terry is the oldest, furthest away, and most falling-apart dorm that the UW has. Trust me, I have lived there.

HOWEVER -

They are tearing it down during Winter Break and they are going to move your stuff FOR YOU into a brand new dorm called Lander Hall. Lander will be beautiful and should really be an enjoyable home. So, as long as you can put up with Terry for a quarter, you will have the best building to live in at UW come 2014.

Terry is definitely in need of being torn down. I like to think of it as a ghetto-looking apartment on the outside, which makes it all the more interesting of an experience. That said, it’s not that bad on the inside (it’s clean, thankfully). Not to mention, Lander Hall is the reward for winter and spring quarter, which is why I’m dorming there this year. I want to be the first student to take a #2 in one of their private bathrooms. From what I’ve experienced in the dorms (I dormed in McCarty last year), Hansee may look the “best” on the outside because it’s supposedly the “Harry Potter” style dorm, but the rooms are all singles, and extremely cramped on the inside considering how much you pay. Life could be much worse than Terry. Trust me.

lol think soviet block housing.

mochiman24, what floor are you on?
