My school offers these test-out options to skip certain classes. In addition to some rigorous classes (math and languages), you can skip stupid classes; for example, I can skip classes like Fitness II, Health, and Content Reading (a REALLY stupid "reading" class). Looking at my schedule, it would be really nice to skip all three of the aforementioned "stupid" classes. Gym is the easiest class in my schedule and I've heard Content Reading is just a lot of (easy) vocab. The only thing is you don't get honors cred/weighted GPA.
Should I skip the classes (I'll substitute in more challenging classes)?

If by substitute for challenging classes - you mean take out Gym for AP Spanish or whatever, then by all means, go for it, that sounds like a great opportunity. I wish we had that at our school… lol :)

Yeah I plan on adding two ap semester classes. The only thing is I won’t get honors credit for skipping the classes. For gym it doesn’t matter, so that’s a no-brainer. But for Content Reading and Health, non-honors will hurt my weighted GPA… (I’m aiming for valedictorian)

I still can’t decide though, is the honors credit and subsequent weighted GPA boost more important (assuming I remain in the top three in the school), or are the extra classes?
