Test prep solicitations

Has anybody else started getting test prep solicitations after attending a CTCL college fair? The timing makes me suspicious.

If you want to make connections when solicited, just made slight modifications in name and you’ll soon spot whose selling what to whom. One of my oldest son’s friends dropped a card at some “fair” several years ago using our address and the name Bert Reynolds. You wouldn’t believe the amount of stuff that came in the mail from hither and yon to “Bert Reynolds.” College solicitations, credit card solicitations, scholarship search stuff you name it it came to the house. Gave us all a good laugh.

I get calls telling me both my son, class of 11, and my D, class of 13, “expressed an interest in test prep materials”. I tell them they are clearly mistaken and hang up. My S has visited some college fairs, but my D never has.

My D12 gets a wave of sliced up trees every time she takes a SAT2 or PSAT or PLAN, etc.
