Testing out of calculus?

I’m an incoming SEAS student and was wondering if it was possible to test out of the 3 required semesters of calculus. Also, would I have to take Calc IV if I were to do that (CS major and thinking of doing a MechE or Applied Math minor (most likely MechE))?

The academic planning guide says that first years must take calculus in their first semester which is what I’m trying to avoid. My main goal is to remove one of the 4 first semester classes I’m “required” to do (calc, chem, phys, UW/AoE). My other plan would be to take Chem in the spring although the guide recommends taking it during the fall (not thinking of doing anything chem related). Would not taking chem in the fall be a sound option?

Thank you!
