I am preparing for the PSAT/SAT this fall. It appears that I will need a test preparation service for decent scores. Is anyone familiar with Testmasters? Is the company any good?
I have just completed geometry and made a 1500 on the test as a sophomore(560CR+440M+500W). Do you have any suggestions?

I'm not familiar with it, but I'm kind of suspicious about it. I mean, you don't know if it will be very helpful or not--no reviews, not sold in stores, nothing. I think most people here don't know the answer because they haven't used it, for understandable reasons. If I were you I would use a more popular guide, like Princeton Review, just because you can be 'safer' with this, if you know what I mean.

If you're talking about the Testmasters course, both my sons took it and we were very happy with the approach and the results. It's also cheaper than PR and Kaplan, and from what I understand, is much better.

I heard of Testmasters for LSAT but not SAT. I agree with dchow...a company that's well-known for SAT prep is a safer bet. Princeton Review is the biggest one.

mutha -- that's a different testmasters (if you're talking about the one based in California). The Testmasters that does SAT prep does a great job -- I think better than PR or Kaplan.
