I’m currently a senior wanting to go to Texas A&M but i am unsure if I have a chance of getting in. I currently have a 3.4 weighing almost to to a .5 and am about to take my SAT. Does anyone know if I have a possibility of getting into their international relations program? If so, please let me know it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Is your GPA weighted or unweighted? The average unweighted GPA for TAMU would be around the 3.5 range I believe. Isn’t the international relations program only for certificate? Are you taking any APs, and do you have any extracurriculars? Colleges generally like to see rigor in senior year course schedule.
GPA 2.83 with 47.00 hours earned. I have sent my application in and applied for agriculture and life sciences (ag. economics). Also this fall semester I’m taking 9 more hours and should get my GPA above a 3.0. I have applied for spring 2017 semester, what are my chances of getting in? I need to know soon, so I have time to apply to another school in case I don’t get accepted! Please let me know my chances. Many thanks!
@Htownsend21 Have you heard back yet? I know Ag Econ is pretty tough, but if you have good essays showing passion for the major and direction in your focus, then that will go a long way. 2.83 isn’t great, but if your low grades are in a certain area, like Cs or Ds in history or science, then they tend to over look them. IF it’s in subjects that show aptitude for your major, then that could hurt you. Best of luck and please let us know when you get in!!! Gig 'em.
