Texas school diversity

There are other good schools in Texas such as Texas A&M and Baylor but the only problem I see is that I am indian. UT is a very diverse school and i was wondering if these other schools are as diverse. Will I have any cultural clashes? are there clubs and organizations where I can have a healthy multi cultural group of friends. I have many “white” and “asian” friends but have to admit that i am personally very comfortable with other indians for obvious reasons. I just want to point out that i have nothing against other cultures but would love to know if these schools are diverse or not.

I would have to say the top 5 in Texas would be the following: Rice, Houston, UT Arlington, UT Austin, and UT Dallas.

But don’t worry, if you really want to go to Texas A&M and Baylor you should go or apply. There probably is an organization dedicated to Indians in universities, especially if it’s a large school. Just research the clubs that they have and see if you find anything for Indians.

I know lots of asians who go to TAMU, (maybe because i go to a predominately minority school lol), but I definitely think you’ll find your niche no matter where you go. UH and Rice are very diverse schools, too.

I have a lot of friends that are Indian and they have told me that their dream school has been UT Dallas because it is one of the more diverse colleges in Texas and because it has a large Indian population, which they said makes it easier to date and meet other Indians, in addition to the many Indian organizations they have, which they would like to participate in. If you are looking for an overall diverse community with a bit of every culture, UT Austin is the best option. Schools similar to UT Dallas includes UTA (at Arlington), UNT, and TAMU.
