Are there actual ISBN #? Sometimes there will be options such as hardcover, paperback, binder pages, etc. of the exact same book and you choose your preference… Can you pull up any images or go to the bookstore? There are usually textbook “experts” there who are quite familiar with what you need.

If you’re not sure, email your instructor or the math department since that eliminates any ambiguity.

The math advising email (takes about a day or two for a response): advising@math.washington.edu

Also, the UW versions of Stewart textbooks may have a different looking cover than the standard edition with the same ISBN#, but it will still have the same materials. For instance, the textbook for my MATH 324 class is V.2 CALCULUS MULTIVARIABLE (CUSTOM) (7E 12), the UW edition features a cover of the Space Needle while the non-UW edition has an integral symbol for its cover; both editions are the same in content.

Ok thanks. Today I just went to the bookstore and they told me everything. The used math 124 book is only $30, but a WebAssign thing is required. That has both the Math 124 and 125 book content on it. It’s less expensive than I thought, $80. I’m not a huge fan of EBooks, but I saved $30.
