hello, i was wondering when we would be able to start getting our books for the fall quarter. The thing is, for me i applied for the cnas first year learning community and i'm currently placed on the waiting list. does anyone know when i'll get an answer from them.. whoever they are.. and how will i know that i got in or got rejected?
also, when's the best time to get our text books for our classes before the quarter starts? i wanna search around the internet for cheap used textbooks first..
how would i know which books they're going to use? do the professors/TA's post the materials on their website...? or how am supposed to know who my professors are for the classes i'm enrolled in? i tried looking on classes.ucr.edu but.. no luck.
can some one help me out here? x_x
thanks guys.

The books required for each class are listed somewhere on the campus bookstore website - go look there

Although, as far as I can tell most professors are pretty low key on the whole textbook thing - as far as science teachers go, since regardless of what textbook you get it’s usually still similar information (you’ll have to buy the online access codes for homework no matter what though)

English and humanities teachers tend to be a bit more strict cuz they base more of the curriculum off books
