Hello,
I applied EA to UMich a couple of days ago. Throughout the past 2 months, my admissions counselor who works at UMich helped me a bit. I would email her whenever I had a question about scores, requirements, etc. Over the past 3 months, we've probably emailed 4-5 times, the most recent one was probably a month ago.

Should I write a quick thank you email to her? Or would this seem like I'm sucking up to her, and if she is in charge of my admission decision, I don't want to screw things up.
I know this is a bit of a silly question, but I don't really know. Thanks!

Not silly at all. We’ve had this same discussion. There are actually a couple of people who have been instrumental in my son’s college quest. I think it’s best to wait until after you receive your acceptance, then send a “thank you for helping make it happen” note. The exception would be Christmas–if the acceptance doesn’t come till after the holidays, a nice card would be appropriate in the meantime.

I don’t think it would hurt to send a brief message letting her know that you submitted an application, thanking her for her assistance and to letting her know that you are looking forward to their response.
