One of my friend’s dad is a big USC fan. Talking about trojan red SUV, USC stickers and license plate frame, plus a wardrobe full of USC stuff. Anywho, my friend’s dad ended up convincing my friend who leaned more towards UT to go to USC, even though USC was going to be like 4 or 5k more a year. Friend really likes USC, so he has no complaints, or at least none that he’s particularly vocal about.

hahaha awesome

btw, by going to USC you basically make any other USC alum completely loyal to you. USC people stick together and that’s a very defining aspect of the school, and extremely important for business or any other profession

Michigan?! You can’t beat amazing school pride(WOLVERINES), 70% of our academic programs rank in the top 10, and the serious party scene. Although our party scene lacks in comparison to Wisconsin, Penn State and UF.

USC’s academics are not top 26. It’s rank is #26, not its academics. There are more schools that are better academically than USC and their overall undergraduate ranking is lower, due to financial and selectivity factors.

^you guys are slipping baby. what are you guys gonna do when UNC eventually overtakes yall?

Yea I must admit we sucked this past year, Hopefully we are better this year, but UNC is definitely stepping it up. Overall we have the best football record of all time though. It’s going to take UNC a whole lot of time to beat that.

^naw, i was talking about the rankings. but yeah, you guys sucked last year. im just hoping you guys beat OSU because these OSU vs UT bowl games are just too tight and stressful for me to watch.

I don’t think UNC will beat UMICH. Maybe it will, but UMICH has better academic programs(ranking wise), and a higher peer assessment score(Whatever that means), but UNC is in better shape financially. Also UNC is more selective than UMICH. UMICH acceptance rate for this year was 49%, even though the USNEWS ranking shows it as 42.1%(Last years acceptance rate).

Hopefully we beat OSU. Can’t wait!

Would anyone say that NYU is a good hybrid between party and academic (business wise)? Maybe even better than USC? But i’ve heard the USC network is incredible.

To the OP,

Unless you go to an uber-religious or hipster university, you’ll be able to find a decent party scene pretty much anywhere if you put some effort into scoping it out. The flagship state schools tend to have the most well-known party scenes, however.

No. They drink to alleviate the stress.

Top schools that have business which people have mentioned the list (all of them have good ones).
Penn (Wharton)
Cornell (they have AEM, PAM, ILR, Hotel, and a slew of other business majors, focused on different aspects of business)
Boston College (Carroll)
USC (Marshall)
Wake Forest (2 years, Calloway)
UMichigan (3 years, pre-admit available, Ross)
UNC-Chapel Hill (2 years, Kenan-Flager)
UT-Austin (McCombs)
Georgetown (McDonough)
Notre Dame (3 years, Mendoza)
UVa (2 years, McIntire)

I’ll add:
Lehigh
Villanova
Your state flagship’s biz program (if not the one mentioned already).

Schools with no business programs but allow for business internships because of prestige/proximity to the city.
Rice (has business minor)
UCLA (has biz econ major)
Stanford (I don’t think it offers business minors)
Duke (has business minor)
Vanderbilt (has business minor)
And of course, the rest of the ivies. Dartmouth will be the best for parties, but the others will do.

^doesn’t Princeton offer some kind of Finance certificate or something like that?

Northwestern (Kellogg certificate)
Emory (Goizueta, 2 year)

Have you considered economics at all for business? Chicago’s Booth School of Economics? Chicago’s economics are awesome. The best in the country.

And you can choose to live off stereotypes if you want, but as someone who has overnighted at Chicago a few times. This school is in CHICAGO. So much happens on campus. You can do what you want, live it up, there are frats, there are major party dorms. UChicago is known to have a significant hipster/artsy crowd also.

Check out the school. I love it.

[Hyde Park](<a href=“Neighborhood Attractions | Visit UChicago”>http://hydepark.uchicago.edu/)

hydepark is uchicago’s neighborhood 5-10 minutes from the heart of downtown chicago

Definitely Georgetown, Cornell, and Boston College. I don’t know much about the others.

The one Harvard party I attended (long ago) featured a bunch of uptight guys in sport coats sipping mixed drinks. I had to ask around to find the brewskis. Anybody know if it’s still like that at Harvard or any of the other super-elite schools?
