^ Mine too! I am so for the upcoming week!

So does that mean ALL desicions are made and just waiting to be sent out?

^Don't think so..

It sucks to know that my Columbia dream may end in the next couple of days.. Well.. I'll just wait and see

Now that I see everyone else's stats, I realize my chances are basically zero. The killer? A 3.7W GPA :X(works out to about 3.0 or 3.1 UW). I've taken hard classes and whatnot, but my GPA is downright pitiful compared to everyone else's on the site. My SATs are 1410/2070(740M/670CR/660W), and I do have some great hooks(specific to Columbia) in addition to legacy status, but it sucks to know that I probably won't get admitted(or even defered) ED :/.

mikesown,
you are not alone feeling that way.
Even if I try not to, I keep comparing my scores to those posted on here,
and I beat myself up pretty much.

And right now,
I am having hallucinations.
gahhhhhhh im so nervous.

mikesown:

You still have a shot.My SAT is 1370/2020,,much lower than you..my UW GPA is 4.0,,,but our school does not offer AP classes..

Just don't give up and be confident..I think Columbia will look for something more than those damn grades..

Wish everyone in this board could be admitted soon!

Does anybody know about what time of day past emails have been sent, either for Columbia or for other schools?

5PM (10char

I made my setting on this thread to email me everytime there was a post..somehow it didn't notify me so I had no idea there was so much going on here.

This whole time I have been counting down untill Monday...(4 days) and now it seems like it might be TOMORROW OR FRIDAY!! I AM GOING TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK!

I have also heard that Columbia only had a "moderate increase" and so it seems most likely that they wouldn't have moved back the date..especially not untill the 15th...

I have concerts on Thursday,Friday,Saturday, and Sunday..

Great, now during a song I am going to burst out crying if I don't get in.

How am I going to sleep tonight?!!

It's been officially announced to be Tuesday.

Good luck to all the other international students on this board

Upsilamba

Where did you see/hear about us finding out on tuesday?

It's posted on the website

Columbia University Office of Undergraduate Admissions - Undergraduate Admissions Home

thanks!

Even though Columbia said it was officially Tuesday..I can't help feeling really nervous and thinking they may email some people earlier...

I just know kids from other Ivy Leagues who were suppose to find out on the 15th but got emails earlier....

Basically, I am going to be in front of the computer at 2 (which is 5 EST) every day untill they actually post it and be an absolute nervous wreck.

^^ YES.

This is so not good for my nerves, oy. XP

Can't wait for my rejection letter! :D.

umm ambber1250,

8:00 pm California time = 5:00 pm EST I believe???

And is the decision going to be posted on our "track application" site? Or will it be emailed to us?

i know new york is three hours ahead of california...so...5 EST would mean 2 here.

and from what people are saying, it seems like this time they are posting it online on the "track application" site . they will email you your PIN number in case you have lost it, but not whether or not you have gotten in.

Oops it is 2....sorry about that...

I would rather have an email cause it takes so much time entering the Columbia ID and the birth date (compared to other websites)

Yeah, 5pm EST is 2pm PST (that's the abbreviation for CA's time zone, right?). I think I read somewhere on here that they changed the thing about needing PIN #s...when the first posted the announcement they said you would, but now they've taken that part down, or something like that.
