the all-important interview

I was wondering, what do you think the chances are of me getting an interview in the greater Chicago area if i just sent in my app this week?
and when should I start getting worried if I haven't gotten a notice?
I really want to get an interview, because this school is just totally Awesome!!!
Thanks

Call it the not-very-important interview.

Search my name for threads on the alumni interview process. I post the same information about a dozen times a year. There were a couple of multi-page threads on alumni interviews from last year that should provide you a lot of info.

Since people are pretty lazy, I'll say this much about the alumni interview:
It has very little weight. It might be the thing that puts you over the edge if you're on the edge, or if you're a ridiculous social moth and are rude and obnoxious, then it can hurt you, but the interview is pretty much like insignificant. Anyway, they don't hold it against you if you don't get one. And since you live in a big city, there are obviously tons of Yale alumni who are interviewing and you'll probably get one. I sent in my application like a day before it was due and I got an interview.
Also, yes, this school is totally awesome.
