Does this course fulfill the category 1 requirement and the Diversity requirement or only anyone of them??

Schedule of Classes: Spring 2008: General Education Requirements: Diversity Courses
lists the diversity requirements, you can click the link on the left for other ge classes.

Yeah i know its listed in both the CAt1 list and the Diversity list. I just wanted to know that if i took this course would I fulfill both requirements or just one of them. If it fulfills both requirements then I would have to take only 6 GE courses instead of seven

I strongly suggest and recommend SOCI-142gm (Sociology and Racial Conflict). I just took it, and besides satisfing the diversity requirement, it's also a relatively easy course with little-to-any reading required. It all depends on how good of a T.A. you get, IMO. In our section, grading was extremely generous, and I'd recommend taking it.

hhmm....ok ill consider that. So this one course will fulfill both requirements??

yes. any class that has an "m" in its course number will fulfill the diversity requirement. i also just took soci 142 last semester and found it interesting and relatively easy, though i took it with ransford. i think kaplan teaches another section? not sure how she is, but the material should be abt the same.
