They're pretty high for this forum.

Mostly 'cause the people on this forum are either worried about college or are somewhat considered successful and would like to help others :)

Does anyone know if Fordham or Pace would accept averege students, or if they have good chance to be accapted. The averege i mean lower than "averege" at CC.
I am really hoping to get into Fordham, i have very good qualities in languages and social subjects, but i failed my SATs etc. I am so worried right now! :-( Decisions will be out soon, i am very nervous.

I've been off CC for awhile, but I'm back. I created a facebook and sent in my first deposit to NYU.

I'm just bumping this thread to ensure its survival.

update: I'm going to NYU yay

Motion to create a membership committee.

Function: to evaluate and approve/deny any and all requests for membership, especially those that require waivers from any of the 5 fundamental requirements. To create criteria for admission.

Chairperson: me (futurenyustudent)

Number of members in committee: 4 excluding chairperson (taking applications by PM to me as of whenever this motion is granted)

Process: profile submitted to thread, vote in/out, chairperson votes only to break a tie.

lol we need more members for its survival. And random motions like mine.

We should make posters and go to rallies.

I guess if there are no objections: Motion granted.

Membership Committee
Chairperson: me (futurenyustudent)

1.) You must have an SAT score of less than 2100 and/or an ACT score of less than 31.

2.) You have to have at least one class in which you have a B or lower. For me it is BC Calculus. No straight A students are allowed.

3.) You cannot have a 5 on any AP test.

4.) You cannot be nationally ranked in anything, whether it be sports or academics.

5.) You must have failed a test (not a quiz) at some point in your high school career.

1) SAT: 1790
2) All my classes are Bs, save for Choir
3) Highest are 4s in APUSH and APWH
4) Not ranked
5) Failed lots of trig tests recently...
weighted gpa: 3.53; unweighted gpa: 3.333....

Sat: 2000
Gpa Uw: 2.8

5) uhhhh.........
UW GPA: 3.8

I haven't taken any AP tests, but I can assure no 5's are in my future
was nationaly ranked in 8th grade for a sport
I've failed tests and many quizes. (I still have a 4.1 wieghted avg. due to grade grubbing :) )

I WIN!!!

Lol... I like how 31 ACT is the cutoff for "average." A lot of people would kill for a 29 or 30.

Anyway:

SAT: 2040 (though my ACT was 33)

Got B's in Algebra II, Honors Gov./Econ., and Peer Tutoring (a total embarassment; I just forgot to turn in my weekly 2-sentence "journals")

Haven't taken any AP tests yet. Hoping for 5's though

No rankings

Failed several AP bio tests before I dropped that class (tell me, would an overachiever DROP a class? I think not) Also failed many a math test in my day.

3.25 GPA
24 ACT
Lots of Bs (2 Cs)
No APs
failed a spanish test in ninth grade

Even though we all have average grades none of us are average we all matter and are probably better at life than the 2400 SAT 4.0 GPA kids on this site.

wow, the OP really needs to get over himself. It's obvious that he's bitter that he isn't good enough for the 2200 clubs and just made a club where he would have the best credentials. Take a look at the requirements and see for yourself. They aren't average, they're just a little better than what he has. I don't think it's a coincidence.

I believe I have the worst ACT and SAT score on this site. I am totally average although my standardized test scores would qualify as below average. I hate those damn tests...they screwed me up for getting into Boston University and Hofstra.

HIGH SCHOOL
Grade average(all courses)-90%
Grade average(only major courses)-83%
SAT score-1390
ACT score-18
Class rank-I think 286 out of 375 students.
Type of classes-Regents Skills, SCALE Regents. No AP, honors and high honors. My school goes from Regents Skills->Regents->honors->high honors->AP and SCALE. SCALE is a college course where you get credit.
Clubs-Computer Club, Art Club, Key Club, Juggling Club
Jobs-work in card store, 1 internship
Diploma-Advanced Regents Diploma, higher than the average diploma given
10 scholastic rolls, 1 honor roll

COLLEGE
GPA-3.4, probably will be higher
Clubs-Psychology Club, Philosophy Club, Nassau Concerts
Community Service-volunteer at an animal shelter
Can't get internships because I'm in community college...ugh

Oh and for you guys posting your GPAs having a 3.7 or above, that is soooo not average. Average would be 3.0-3.5. Average test scores are 1500-1700 SAT score and 21-25 ACT score.

classes with Bs: apush, bc calc, bio, english 2 and 3

apush - 4

no national ranks, unless you count last place =(

dude i fail tests ALL the time. like 30%s

hm the only thing keeping me out is my 36 ACT :(

1.) You must have an SAT score of less than 2100 and/or an ACT score of less than 31.
