Can someone help this freshman out and show me how to get to the beach. I've been trying to find paths with google earth, but I'm guessing there are better ways. Any directions would be helpful, and a drawn-on jpeg would be even more awesome. Thanks for all the help in advance!

you will figure it out when you get there.

hard to describe, but get to muir college in back of tioga hall. cross the street and go through this little fenced area that is near a mormon church. turn right, walk a while, stay on the left side of the road and you'll get to a blocked off area. go through it and walk down. it will be a huge steep hill and just keep going down. that beach is called black's beach.

but as i said, you'll figure it out eventually.

I didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll just ask here. It sucks how ERC has no pool, so us swimmers have to head out to the nearest pool. I heard warren has a good pool, but it looks pretty far on the map. Is it really that far? Are there any closer pools? Thanks!

take the campus loop buses to warren, i think it drops off pretty close by.

otherwise, the natatorium at the south end of muir college is a good place. indoors too. it's near pacific hall, summit, the tennis courts/volleyball courts, the old student center and mandeville.

Getting to the beach really is hard to describe, and walking down to black's beach can be a little hard because the path is so steep...

Canyonview pool (the one in Warren) is the closest to ERC I believe. Take the clockwise campus loop shuttle from ERC, and ask them to drop you off at Canyonview, and they'll take you straight to it.
