The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Chbosky.
Im not finished yet but I LOVE it.
If you haven't read it, its seriously the best book I read.
I read part 1 three times. Lol.

you’d best be reading more books

Wow I remember reading that book a while back, typical story of teenage angst. Not amazing, imo.

Green Eggs and Ham

Just kidding. I like books/essays by David Sedaris.

I’ve seen so many people list The Perks of Being a Wallflower as one of their favorite books. I have no idea what it’s about.

Hey, don’t discredit Dr. Suess books. They’re part of every kid’s life.

^unless you grew up in a foreign country!

the perks is overrated. good, but overrated.

It is awful. Challenge yourself.

Love David Sedaris!!!
as well as A Thousand Splendid Suns

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is my favorite book, but that does not necessarily mean that I think it’s the best book I’ve ever read. That honor would have to go to…hmm, that’s actually a really good question. Let me get back to you on that. My first instinct is Lolita, but I want to think about this more before I give you a final answer.

I’d like to reiterate the quality of writing by David Sedaris.

I recommend ‘A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius’ and ‘The Road’ to people as well.

skinny b*tch because it taught me that in order to lose weight i have to stop shoving food into my mouth 24/7

omggzzz it completely changed my life! as well as buying SortaSlim from z100

a new thread about this every week is necessary

because your taste in literature is just that unique

Thank you Poseur.

Not sure about best book I’ve ever read since I’m not a hudge reader. Though Cold Mountain was a good book, and I would rate the movie even higher.

Oh wow, I have no idea how to answer this question. I’ve read so many books that rank high up there, but they each have very different faults/strong points.

I’ll go with Ivanhoe, just because it’s the only book I own with the binding broken and taped together in several places. I loved that book when I was younger.

I’m sorry but Harry Potter FTW!

Although, The Class by Erich Segal was pretty good.

Yes HP is awesome, too bad HBP (movie) is said to be a letdown. Umm I love Lord of the Rings, Notes from Underground is pretty good. And everyone should read the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying before they die. I’m fond of Perks but it’s kind of overrepresented in the best books category. The Catcher in the Rye is more overrated though.

Where the red fern grows.
