The best way to raise a writing score in 550-600 range to 700+

Il Bandito --- I don't think so... I was wondering about the same thing, as well.

Learn your grammar rules! Learn them well! To practice, go around correcting other people's grammar. It's annoying to the other people (haha), but it reinforces the ideas in your mind.

From what sources can we learn grammar rules? RR, Grammatrix, etc...?

retribution, rocketreview totally helps for writing!!!! i sucked at writing but after reviewing its techniques before i take a practice test and going over what i missed, i miss less and less each time. my writing score from psats was like 500s or something lol and now it's the only thing that consistently scores in the high 700's to 800!! RR ROCKS FOR WRITING

Thanks arbortrees06! I'm waiting for RR to ship from Amazon...it's so slow...

One way to learn idioms (and all other grammar, for that matter) is to use PR's Grammar Smart. It has lists of idioms and explains grammar in an easy to understand way.

The writing part of the SAT, and ESPECIALLY the PSAT are the easiest parts to improve on! I would do practice tests from the official book and maybe use something like RocketReview to get you to that 800! Good luck!

I have PR's Grammar Smart 2nd ed. Is it in there?

Yes, Idioms start on page 93 of the 2nd edition.

Alright thanks Flipsta_G.
