Has everyone read this yet? I'm finding it painful to sit down and read this. How important is it to read it thoroughly?

Not.

Get through it as fast as you can. (You honestly don’t need to read it at all, though it would be nice to start your college career on a positive note instead of obviously skipping out on an “assignment”).

It wasn’t bad. I had some problems with her writing style, among some other things, but it was certainly interesting and readable. Once you start, you’ll probably find it more tolerable than you expected

So I kind of just started the book… I guess I’ve been procrastinating JUST a bit and I think it’s somewhat interesting but I’m not totally into it and I’m probably not reading as thoroughly as I likely should be. I know fightingquaker that you say that it’s really not a huge deal but aren’t we supposed to discuss the book in groups? On the NSO site it shows that attending “The Penn Reading Project” is mandatory. What can we expect for the discussions? Are we going to have to write anything or is the project really not all that intense?

No writing. Just discussing. You really should read it, though you can get away with avoiding it.

Hey, sorry guys. I didn’t mean to post here. I’m using my older sibling’s account and replied but then realized I wasn’t logged in as myself and couldn’t delete the message, ha.
