From today's Cleveland Plain Dealer:
Denison University town of Granville has its own historic allure | cleveland.com

Very nice article.

Nice piece …and I feel affirmed, having been touting Granville as one of the most idyllic of “college towns” with the good, if not the best of all worlds. Small town charm, big city proximity, campus that is fabulous.

Let me say it one more time …Granville and Denison are precisely what my mind tells me a college town’s supposed to look like. And my guess, with a few notable exceptions on Broadway and beyond, it’s one of those places that alumni, parents, and friends love even more than students. So, if one’s investing for the longer run? Granville’s grand!

Conversely, for students who die for the dirt and grime of the city with loads of public transportation necessary and available, then the draw must be in attending a top-shelf tier 1 LAC that offers tons of financial aid and scholarship to meritorious students. And so far, even the Big Red footballers are on a victory roll! Now, if someone could only find a volleyball coach …ugh. They’re chronically terrible.

Great article! Thanks for sharing. I agree, Granville is an idyllic town…I wonder what it would be like to live there. I’m sure my daughter would not want Mom to move closer to her!
