The Cities Program?

Has anyone else received a letter in the mail along with a brochure for the cities program? I got one yesterday, and I thought it was a little odd that they'd send something like that out, when I wasn't sure if I'd been accepted to Trinity. They ask me to notify them by March 25 if I'm interested.

Also, today I received an email from a Trinity student, telling me why they chose to go to school there and stuff. And in the mail, I got a brochure for the European Civilization program. Sigh they need to stop sending me these things in big envelopes and getting my hopes high. :/

yeah I got the brochure for the European Civilization program too. yet i have no idea what it means in terms of acceptance. the first line says something like "admissions has notified us that you're an excellent candidate" and that we should notify them if we want to be part of it by the 25th yet we don't know if we're in yet? ahhh! what do you think this means in regards to our admissions status? i totally agree that the big envelope thing is doing nothing but stress me out even more :/

also... does anybody know when we should be expecting letters to arrive?

i got the cities program too...im thinking that if we are getting these special program letters saying that we are qualified for them....then r we accepted? and the decisions just can't be released until april 1st

I don't know, but my brother got a letter for applying to the InterArts program. Given the selectivity of the program (15 students for class of 2012), the fact that he has to apply with an essay, and how late in the applications process it came (it arrived on 3/18, two days ago), is that a sign of possible acceptance? The letter says that it isn't an acceptance but you have to apply before April 1st...

Yeah, I got the European thing, Cities thing, and the letter from the student in my e-mail. It'd be pretty ridiculous if they sent all this stuff and didn't accept us, and I talked to a couple students who got this stuff last year and said that they were accepted later. I hear it is the equivalent of a "likely letter" which means they are pretty sure you're in. It would be too mean to reject people after leading them to believe they were in by sending stuff like this. Also, heads up: I heard that they send acceptance letters in small letters so don't freak if you get a small letter.

Yeah, I thought this was a little like a subtle likely letter. I mean, they can't very well tell us that we're terrific candidates for this very selective set of programs, and that we have to notify them within a week of getting these letters, and then tell us that they haven't accepted us. I think they're trying to snag the interest of maybe the top group of accepted students?

I agree. I got the student e-mail, invites to apply to cities, the european one, and the interdisciplinary science one (everything but the art one lol, I'm the worst artist ever). I feel like we will all be getting admitted. I just want the acceptance letter.

speaking of being admitted ....when does trinity notify us of their decision

Hey everyone,

I am currently at Trinity and enrolled in the Cities program. So iif any of you have questions regarding the program I can def. speak with you about it.

I also have friends in the Euro program (known as Guided Studies).

Shoot me an email or private message if you would like any advice!

GL

I got three envelopes the same day for Cities, InterArts, and European Civilization. Way to get my hopes up, Trinity. But I think we can assume we got in...

yea does anybody know when they were mailed??
