The Daily Trojan

Hi everyone! Congrats on your acceptance, hope you're looking forward to your first semester at USC!

I'd like to quickly let you know about the Daily Trojan, the campus newspaper. We're run completely by students and publish Monday-Fridays during the fall and spring semesters.

We'd love for all of you to join and no experience is necessary! We're always looking for more writers, photographers, editors, designers and artists, and applying couldn't be simpler.

Just head over to our website and fill out the easy application. Again, no experience is necessary.

Looking for writers for all four of our sections — News, Opinion, Lifestyle and Sports — as well as photographers for all sections, copy editors, designers and artists for the opinion page.

Whether you're looking to go into journalism or just looking for a fun extra curricular activity to get you started at 'SC, the DT would love to hear from you!

If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at dtrojan@usc.edu.

Hi!

This seems like a great opportunity! Are these paid positions? Or they are volunteer - unpaid positions? Would love to apply!

I don’t know if it was changed, but I think you receive a small stipend for writing. (At least I did.)

Unpaid or paid, however, if you are interested and/or serious about journalism and building a writing portfolio, writing for the DT is worth it. Getting paid shouldn’t be a make or break part of your interest in the paper.
