I figured that people have so many random questions about dorm rooms (myself included) that it'd be easy to just allocate all of that information into 1 place.

The dorm rooms are separated into east and west campus. The website linked above gives a brief description of each dorm room and a floor plan. Unfortunately, the floor plan is NOT accurate as the same plan is used for almost every dorm room.

Questions to other forum goers
1)With current UF freshmen moving into the dorms now and getting adjusted, i was wondering if any of you could take pictures of your dorm. I'm trying to get a feel for the size of each room.

I'm trying to make a list of rooms by:
A) Dorms
and B) if its a single, double, triple, suite, etc.

2) If you don't have a picture, what kind of room did you pick? A typical 2 peope to 1 room style, maybe a single? Maybe a suite, where 2 rooms are connected but 1 person per bedroom. Maybe even an apartment style

Hey, I'm in a double in Yulee. I left my camera at home, but hope to be purchasing one or getting the one I left soon. I'm gonna take pictures of the setup of my dorm as well as my friend down the hall (whose double is setup differently)

I'm in Riker. My double was surprisingly big... very high ceilings... carpeted. I love the Tolbert Area's location so far. Right near the Reitz Union (3-4 minutes), Gator Dining is a 1 minute walk, right next to the O'Connell Center and the Swamp. Right next to the Graham Area and all they have to offer. And only about a 10 minute walk to classes.

One thing, your guys (freshman) drink way too much coming in summer B. I know you want to make friends but there are other ways than drinking till you pass out in the bathroom in vomit.

ok since you opened it up for questionnaire = )

First of all i just wanna say the reason im applying summer B isnt to drink and party. Believe what I say or not, but summer b in my mind is a relaxed situation to get acquainted.

do you have any pictures of broward dorm rooms? How hard is it to build a loft?

I dont have a pic but I can probably get one. I know a lot of housing staff over there. The housing debt recently changed there policy and painting your room, building lofts, and flipping a certain type of bed (located in some dorms) are not allowed anymore. I am not sure if you can buy a an already made loft, but you cant build them anymore.
