The Game

Ha, you lost.

lmao ok so im not gonna have a useless thread about the game. Rather, this is a rant on my part for the Budget Cuts in our district. They're cutting all extra-curriculars and a majority of sports(all freshman sports). Also, they're getting rid of AP chem, chinese 3, and biology. :( i was going to take the former two(already took biology) Of course, there is a poll April 20th and the majority vote will decide whether the budget will be cut. SO yeah, what do you guys think about this situation?

AP Chem and biology?

I had thought that those two (especially biology) were core classes that are usually the last ones to go…

Personally, I think it’s ridiculous to make those kind of cuts. It makes sense to make changes like turning the heat down a little or cutting corners like that, but extracurriculars and sports are a major part of the overall quality of the school. I have little tolerance for people who bitterly protest school tax increases because first of all I’m against the principle of cutting schools. I think public schools are a vital part of a successful community. But it also makes me angry because I think these people fail to realize that in most cases, small tax income to school district=crappy schools=low home prices=crappy community.

i think you got it easy.

they’re cutting all my schools counselours, shutting down our library, instituting pay to play for athletics, and switching our schedules to an A/B.

it’s good next year is my last year. it’s really hard to be a student in this time…

I thought about the game… and then I just chundered EVERYWHERE!!

^ lol

Maybe it’s just my school but we only have two languages, and of those two chinese is taken by 60% of the students. taking away the third level would be cruel (I know the requirement is 2 years to graduate, but lately it doesn’t look good if you don’t take it up to your third year)
I might be able to believe AP Chem, I guess, but only on the condition AP Bio is there.

I mostly agree with all of you guys, luckily I’ve already taken biology, but AP chem was something I was looking forward to :frowning: I’m still only a freshman; who knows what else they’re going to cut?

and @NulliSecundus: DEFINITELY AGREED. This is a huge mistake.

Anyways, I’ll keep you guys posted, the polls for the budget cut are April 20th.
