I'm not against McGill but I know that the Times rankings aren't any good at. They're ranking criteria makes little sense and they purposely try to put one high-ranked school for each country.

VEX wrote: Also, Ivyleager, get a life. Everyone knows u r a McGill-enemy, and that u r trying to attack its reputation in every forum. Same with acceptedalready. There is a pattern to that.

Sorry, But i think McGill is a fine school and I said so many times. In fact I recently encouraged my neice to consider applying there in a couple years. That said I don't let wholly untrue statements like McGill is the best university in Canada, get posted without being contested.

US news makes less sense then the other rankings.

hey ivyleager, an easy search in the forum (a search of your name)would show easily that you are saying something negative about McGill in every opportunity; now, that's bias! I am 100% sure you got rejected by McGill. I can understand that!

no Vex, I don't badmouth MCgill. I bad mouth the fact that's it's not the best unversity in Canada. there's a clear difference and I never applied to McGill. I had no interest in it. that said, I do think McGill is an excellent school.

I applied both to McGill and U of T and got accepted to both. As an international student, i chose U of T in the end. If i was an american, I would go for mcgill because it is better known in the US, whereas U of T has the international reputation. Fair enough… Oh and vex, it is pointless to compare the two as a whole academicwise. It is better to compare the departments both are good at different programs.
