The Grand Battle of "acted upon" vs. "in review" get your tickets!!

they told me that their status was 1st = "in review" 3/26
then 2 days later it was = "acted upon" 3/29

3 got accepted, one got rejected
the one that got rejected said quote " im not sure if i was in review or not, i think i was, but maybe at an earlier date, im not too sure"

can anyone see if my status fits those whom have been accepted..

prelim review (1/15). changed to in review in mid march but status date did not change. On 3/27 same status in review but date changed to 3/27. Then on 3/29 status said acted upon.

He applied SCA for production with no second choice. We live in NC and so far no mail. Maybe something will be here at the end of the day. Good luck to all those still waiting....

Mine turned into Acted Upon today... Weird.

Mine STILL says...
"Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th."
Status last updated: 3/27/2008 12:21:09 PM

Maybe it's a glitch? I duno...what's your thoughts?

older child who attends sc went to admissions yesterday..they said that decision was mailed the 28th. told us to relax. OR NOT TO STRESS. sure......

Is it just me, or is anyone else wondering how it could possibly take more than 4 days for priority mail to reach anywhere in the U.S.?

I don't think everything was mailed on 3/28.

`we could have walked it here faster,,,,,,

Yesterday, someone posted they had spoken with administration and were told a batch was actually mailed yesterday. With your status still in review maybe you will be receiving good news. Also, someone posted USC wasn't using priority mail on this batch.

Hmmmm....no priority mail...surely that's a sign of .....something.

I think the kids here (ok, some of us parents, too!) have been watching too much CSI. :-)

1/15 - prelim review done
Early March - in review but no date change
3/27 - date changed to 3/27
3/29 - acted upon
4/1 - Rejection

Hoping it's an april fools joke may b expecting too much. Good luck to the rest of you!

Well, I got accepted and mine still says in review and it has been since 3/14. So far it seems the 3/29 acted upons are almost certainly rejects, and those who changed may be spring acceptees. If i'm thinking correct, then those who changed today (4/1) probably got accepted as priority mail usually takes about 2 days. For those who were acted upon at 3/29, I would presume if you haven't heard anything and live outside of Southern Cali that a rejection would arrive today or tommorow. However, a priority package would most likely have arrived today. My letter was dated 2 days before I got my packet, so if we assume they count the day they mailed out it would be friday, saturday, and monday for priority packages, and monday-wed for regular.

I'm not saying this is correct, but based on my mailing systems its the only logical conclusion unless they did release a batch today which seems plausible. If so, I would assume those are more acceptances than rejections as they probably wanted to bear the brunt of rejections over a weekend where they were closed as opposed to through the week.
