@14113, based upon what?

I’m back from calc BC! Hurray! Only 2 left. Thanks for saying hi Guitarplayer; you will notice that although your name was on the list, it was also bolded, which means it wasn’t confirmed. Also, a shoutout to Harvardwaitlist! Hurray! Another international has joined us.

I’ve updated the list and will post it once we get to the next page! How was everyone’s day? I must say, we are slowing down in terms of posting and might not reach the amazing record set by last year’s thread. Still,

-Optimism!

NO SCHOOL IS SO BORING. I literally have nothing to do.

^ REALLY, I have a LONG list of things I want to do but must wait until school is out … and even if the list was short … there is SO much to read out there …

I’ve been waitlisted too…sent in my deposit to Northwestern and I’m thrilled with it, but here’s hoping… :)

For those of you waiting on the Princeton WL too, someone just posted in the Princeton forum he/she knew someone accepted off the WL today.

okay, new challenge. Write a haiku about being on Harvard’s waitlist. Good luck!

Welcome stressed23! You have been added to the list!

“Sorry!” said Fitz. “You
Would have been a good fit some
Other time.” Damn it.

I’m no poet, and I’m not sure of the Haiku rules other than from wiki, but I’ll play…

The Harvard Waitlist
Filled with esteemed applicants
Staring at the phone

@HurtLocker – I’m on Princeton’s WL too, but am amazed they’re even using it this year. It seems like everyone is accepting there! By the way, which thread are you talking about?

@Stressed23 – Awesome haiku

These are great Haikus but super depressing.

Glad the Calc BC test is over…not sure how it went though. There was so much series on the damn thing, and I am awful at series. Still, definite 5 on the AB subscore and I think definite 4 on BC. But I left all of #6 blank, which dealt with Taylor series, so don’t know if I’ll get to a 5, which means it won’t matter if I DO manage to get off the wl. But Willian & Mary gives 8 credits for a 4 or a 5, so it’s ok. And at least I know lit. will go better tomorrow

@qizixite Btw, I am enrolled at the College of William and Mary for the masterlist. No where near as high on my list at Harvard, but honestly Harvard was essentially not even on a list it was so high, so I can’t complain.

@nickwasy I think Portrait of the Artist is more accessible than Ulysses, but Ulysses covers more issues and is a better example of literary genius–in the sense of loading dozens of different meanings and connections into each sentence

Haha, terrible phrasing in my last post. Meant that the test wont matter for credit at harvard since they don’t accept 4s

Congrats to MorganSimone who just got into Princeton. Here is the Princeton Wailtlist thread…

<a href=“wait-list acceptances - Princeton University - College Confidential Forums”>wait-list acceptances - Princeton University - College Confidential Forums;

Morgan, will you be staying on Harvard’s waitlist?

Aren’t we such a nice big happy family? Congratulating MorganSimone on her waitlist acceptance from Princeton. It’s so warm and fuzzy.

Hurray Morgan! I’m really really happy for you!

We’ll be happier for you if you decide NOT to stay on Harvard’s WL ;).

(JK.)

I wouldn’t begrudge you a bit if you stayed on Harvard’s waitlist.

There does seem to be a lot of crossover among the ivies. For example, one of the other Princeton acceptees off the waitlist has to choose between princeton and brown.

-Optimism!

gcall1090: It seems like most people agree with you, so I guess I have to accept that I’m probably not cultured enough to appreciate Ulysses yet. Maybe I’ll come back to it in a few years. But in any case, Portrait was pretty influential on my philosophy, especially with seeing creation as art and art as creation. I also think it’s a good introduction to prose that’s so beautiful the reader doesn’t care if he doesn’t understand most of it. Maybe it’s just me, but I thought that chapters 4 and 5 were pretty humbling and awesome.

@gcall1090
I left #6 completely blank too! I seriously wrote “Here’s what I don’t understand -” and blah blah. I hope the grader doesn’t get too annoyed by it. :p

I guess I’m pretty late, but another waitlistee here. VA, but international (S.Korean). It’s Harvard or a community college/gap year for me 'cause I got rejected at all the other schools. Being an international with need for financial aid sucks…

Did Harvard mention anything about the waiting list yet? I guess I should look through the thread first. Good luck to everyone!
