@hurtlocker, qixizite, and gunther: Thanks, friends =)!!! Your words mean so much to me!

add me to the list, from tx

Morgan, if you want to share your thoughts on this huge decision feel free. You can expect about as much advice as an empty brain can give. I’ve decided that number two pencils have… Anyways, backing off the tangent; I hope you stay on Harvard’s waitlist so we can keep talking about nothing in particular, but if you decide to go to Princeton, then even though your name might be yanked off the list, as the keeper of the master list I’ll dub you an honorary member. Good luck!!!

Welcome to everyone new! If anything is wrong, please tell me! I’m putting college of matriculation in brackets. Feel free to state your own and I’ll add it.

If your name is in bold PLEASE come out and say hi so we can confirm that you are remaining on the waitlist! Thanks!

Updated with wonderful lurkers. More people should come out and join us! (78 people so far; 52 for sure-26 unknown)

@poooh and harvardwannabee, where did you matriculate in the meantime?

Wow that’s awesome morgan! I wish that Harvard would come out with decisions that fast :).

@qixizite: I am going to keep frequenting this forum but I honestly “heart” all of you! You guys are soooooo supportive and soooo affable! I have grown close to all of you in such a short period of time!

@cicero_oratore: Thank you and LOL. Well, keep your phones close to you ;-).

WLed and matriculating at Vandy.

The guy who got into H from my school turned it down for Dartmouth. I’m hoping that they look at that in the “we need someone from that school” way and take me off the WL.

Congratulations Morgan…btw does anyone know what the deadline was for the Princeton accepted students to reply to Princeton notifying them if they want to go there or not? This can help make an assumption of how fast the Harvard Waitlist program might be.

Sent from my iPad.

They have a week. Nice iPad. And I guess matriculating at Dartmouth over Harvard means this kid really cared about fit and the awesome undergraduate teaching at Dartmouth. I haven’t heard choosing Dartmouth over Harvard in a while.

Congrats Morgan!!! That’s amazing! For the list, I am matriculating at Penn (SUCH a hard decision)

@Ancalagon4554 I’m in the same situation. The person who got into Harvard in my school turned it down, so I am hoping that I can slip in that person’s place.

Unfortunately, the person at my school who got in decided to go. But she’s a legacy so maybe it’s a different ballgame.

I hope that my second interview counted for something…I REALLY want to see an article on yield NOW.

Princeton having already started to come out just makes me that much more anxious (though I’m not on their WL). Congrats, Morgan!

Also, I think I mentioned this a while back, but I’m from the Lone Star State, currently matriculated at Penn, and for a description, I guess I would say I’m well-rounded with emphasis on math, science, and music.

Also, does anyone know if you get accepted, what happens with your housing situation? Does the housing office wait for those taken off the waitlist to make their decisions before commencing, or do they just stick them in wherever there is an opening?

1126 on facebook as of this evening.

waiting and waiting,
for some very happy news,
that just might come soon …

:)

good luck to those of you who are waiting!!

quick update: my GC called Harvard yesterday and she said that they will need a few days to find out if they can accept anyone off the waitlist. I’m crossing my fingers for the best!!!

I’ll be going to UCLA in the fall if Harvard doesn’t accept me. I love LA weather :D

So now it’s an “if” they can accept anyone off the waitlist, not “how many”? I wonder if that means that the yield was high and waitlist acceptances will be few if not none…

Or hopefully it’s Harvard trying to be its normal cryptic self.
