<p>I think I’ll end up having only 4 significant EC’s to put on my app. I’m pretty involved in each of them, though.</p>
<p>Well it looks dumb if you put that you were in chess club, anime club, culture club, math club, academic club, environmental club, national honor society, spanish honor society, ping pong club, key club, …</p>
<p>Track and Field Team and National Honor Society are enough for me.</p>
<p>I know this is a sort of non CC-er thread, but I still feel that I should say it should be “5 or fewer ECs.” You have less of a singular thing, fewer of plural things. </p>
<p>If we’re only going by club and team type things, I think I can join this group. I’m on Quiz Team, on Math Team, on Community Action Team, in Ski Club and that’s it. I was in some other clubs in 10th grade like Culinary, Chess, and French, but it’s not like I wrote those on my apps or anything. If we’re going by things that are not club and team type things, I guess I’m out, because I’m also in Youth Ballet Company, and I play two instruments, and I tutor.</p>

<p>Out of curiosity, are "EC"s are things that are somehow affiliated to the school but are non-academic, or can ECs be any activity outside of and completely unaffiliated with the school as well?</p>
<p>Debate, creative writing (but I only joined writing club this year), and french. And some random stuff, like GSA, that I’m a member of technically but can’t make it to most meetings, so I’m not about to put those on my apps.</p>
<p>um band (marching band included), math team, worldquest, nhs, interact (barely did anything with interact though).</p>
<p>i turned out well lol.</p>
<p>I have… Debate, Girl Scouts, NHS, Spanish NHS, and I used to do Student Council but the sponser turned into an a-hole for the council, not for his class (which I take). Soo… Not doing that.</p>
