<p>pft 1610 and Stanford? my brother got a 2450. his essay was so good he got extra credit. lol jk. i guess it is possible. my teacher's high school friends all went to Stanford together because they were so good at crew. Stanford just recruited the entire team.</p>
<p>olivia: yes it will hurt you, even if you have a 4.4 weighted (bc colleges unweight the GPAs). In fact, if you were a senior and got a D, you would likely have your admission rescinded. I'd make that up in a hurry if I were you.</p>

<p>^^^ there is a 10 character minimum for each post on CC.</p>
<p>So if someone writes something like "yeah" which has only 4 characters, they add "10 char" just to add more characters to 10 char limit.</p>

<p>hey im a junior in level 4 with a 1450(800 on math) applying to uva emory penn cornell unc as reach schools. also 2 varsity sports with a 3 year captaincy on one and a solid(but not rediculous) gpa. any thoughts on if i can get in?</p>
<p>You guys have to take into consideration that those who got into the Ivies with low 1800s-1900s SAT scores are probably minorities who benifited from affirmative action. So if your not a minority then don't get your hopes up. Work hard and aim for a higher SAT.</p>
<p>Im a URM and im a great applicant in every way except for my SAT scores. this thread gives me hope!</p>
