The "I Got in without a 3.7+ GPA" club

I got into the U of Minnesota’s most selective college with a 3.67 and 28 haha

3.0 unweighted 2210 SAT score

Rutgers & Fordham so far >:(

I got into UNC Chapel Hill out of state, Boston College, and UCONN Honors with a 3.53 cumulative GPA (unweighted) and a 2070 SAT

I have a 3.2 or so and a 2100. (32 ACT if that changes anything)

Got into all CUNYs I applied to
Baruch Scholars

Pitt
Stony Brook
Albany

Deferred:

Uw 3.0
33 act
2170 sat
Admitted into purdue

Caster, any thoughts on how the universities reconcile your 3.0 with your 33 ACT? Do you attend a tough HS w/zero grade inflation? I know my son’s HS is notorious for no grade inflation and a C at his school is like an A at many schools in Southern CA.

In response to laplatinum:
My highschool is ranked in the top 100 in the nation. I got a c- in my ap bio test and still easily got a 5 on the ap test and 740 on the sat 2 biology. My school doesn’t do class rank because even kids with 3.7 gpas would fall fairly low on the list. Does that answer your question?

Forgot to mention I did get defered from purdue pending my 7 th semester transcript and I got all A’s that semester. 4.0 uw. 4.4 w

But I did eventually get admittwd

let’s keep this thread alive!!

My ACT and SAT were 32 and 2150 at the time. Essays were really horrible, and extracurriculars were pretty poor as well. Was rejected by quite a few schools though
