The importance of coffee

Honestly i am not going to use caffeine pills or energy shots. Coffee isnt all about caffeine!
Davidthefat, do you have a hot water heater as well? That seems like a good setup.

An automatic coffee maker is tempting as i could just get pre ground coffee instead of grinding it myself. With the french press, grinding it yourself allows you to have a coarser grind that produces less sediment at the bottom.

I dont really have an interest in going to starbucks every morning either because they burn their coffee and the cost would add up.

thirrdplanet - I have a keurig that makes 1 cup of coffee (the smallest sized keurig), and it’s the best thing in the world. Well, at least that’s how I view it at 6am. The Donut Shop k-cups are positively delicious.

But one thing you should be aware of if you have roommates/people who share the space you’re planning on keeping said coffee maker in: some people hate the smell of coffee apparently, and it would be wise (and kind) to not make it around them. I have a former roommate who claimed the smell made her feel nauseous.
So yeah - just be aware that even if you (and I!) love the smell of coffee in the morning, others may not.

Yes, I have a water heater. I let it boil then let it stand 30 seconds to a minute before pouring it on the coffee grinds.
