No I didn’t mean you Pixie. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, k? Gosh.

Jk, of course I did. I can’t forget my Potter Comrade. Basically I meant almost everyone on this forum. You know who you are :)

Yea true, guys are so much easier to figure out than girls. It gets a bit complicated when your feelings go too far, but that’s for another forum.
I thought about it, and the whole cross registration thing did it for me. Wellesley students said they interact a lot with Harvard/MIT people (talked to them on an online chat). The sisterhood thing is huge; every freshman gets a big sister on her first day and they have traditions like Flower Sunday and Hoop Rolling. People say it’s quite a heady feeling.

Damn! You actually thought he was serious?
Lighten up! Seriously! They’re good scores!
The national percentile this month is bound to be good too.

AAAAAAAAAAHHH!! I’m a SENIOR MEMBER!!!
Post 418= 1000 th :D

Well that’s what I’m known for. Don’t you know the world revolves round and round around me? ;)

I agree 100% with what you said about Wellesley. That school is simply scrumptious. MIT! eee!
Hmm. I think we’ve been gushing about this school long enough though. We really ought to stop, eh Arun?

Pix your interview/info session was with EIGHT alums+PRESIDENT of the university? How many prospective students were there?

The interview sounded like a lot of fun though!

The whole “its not where you go, its what you do there” statement is very true! That’s why GT is pretty much my first choice. Well its not a proper example since it’s top for engg as a whole and comp science but some gt alums I know personally are really successful… Plus gt is cheap lol

Hey, when you really love a school, you have to show it!
And congrats on becoming a senior member! Haha.
I had to ask you this-does anyone watch Glee/Castle/How I Met Your Mother?

Naa.
It was with one Dean.
See, it was before this “Learn More about Smith” event at the Taj. They emailed me about it a month in advance and I mentioned that I would like an interview. So the Dean gave me a half hour slot and after that the event started. I met the rest of 'em there. They were all very friendly including the President!
Well, the interview was great I guess, but it was the snacks in the event that made the day.
Burp. :D

Did you get contacted for Cornell interview yet?

^^ I so agree?! But I just realized we’ve both been gushing about the school here like lovestruck teenagers for pretty loong. The squeaky high pitched squealing ones.
Let’s ocassionally PM each other about How Great The School Is when the impulse gets too great to bear instead of boring the guys here.
Nah, I only watch anime. When I get the time. I want to see How I met your Mother though…

@kaira07: No the place is very different now. The only kids who behave like ancient aristocrats aren’t actually aristocrats themselves. Their parents are bankers who give Rolls Royces as birthday gifts. Everyone else is fairly down to earth.

I just submitted all my RD applications! I am finally done. Now the waiting period officially commences…

Banker kids hm? I suppose you get those types everywhere.
Although, I do admit, a Rolls is an absolutely gorgeous car.
Digressions, digressions.
You’ve sent all of them off?! Where did you apply?
I really need to get a move on. I have a feeling I’ll be submitting my apps at 23:59 p.m. EST on 31st December. Bad premonition :S
Back to Chem, I’ll see you guys tomorrow.

Whoa!! My mom does’nt even know I’m applying abroad. My dad paid the SAT fees, but he’s yet to ask me what my score is. That’s why I was a bit surprised when I heard you guys’ parents are involved, whether it be limited or extensive.

That’s great to hear Kaira!
But do remember, if you think you might not be able to live in an all womens school, then think very carefully before applying. Although Wellesley has a cross registration program and you can go to the other co-ed schools, that does not in any event mean that boys are very well available all the time. My Wellesley interviewer told me that she used to get tired of being in an all girls environment pretty frequently(AND she used the Cross Registration with MIT) and to interact and meet up with guys it took double the effort not to mention a lot of planning.
So don’t expect to hear much male baritone around there. I just told you this so that you have a complete picture of the pros and cons. We already filled you in with the pros
If you’re okay with that, then by all means go and apply! But this is what is keeping the womens schools from getting very high up on my list. I’m still applying of course.

I am an XY chromosome, and I’m not a dipsite :-X. What’ve you got against 'em? :P

Oh and I HATE my username. I made an account of CC just to read the “view more posts” section. I didn’t plan on really being an active poster here. SO, I chose a username that was very unlike me… And the first thing that popped in my mind was Bon Jovi.

Are you addressing the Stanford roommate question (Question, not an essay. Stop scaring me.) to your roommate per se? I started it with, “Dear future roommate,”

True Pixie. But unless I find a similar-ish school that is Co-ed, if I get into say Colgate and Wellesley but not Midd, I’d choose Wellesley. Middlebury and Wellesley will be much tougher. But we’ll see when we get there. I might end up not getting accepted anywhere, ha.

Hey guys, I’m an international student, and wanted some help. My SAT superscore is 2020 (610r 710m 700w). I have applied ED to Hamilton college, but I’m realllllly scared. My overall percentage during my grade 11 and 12 is 77%. I have good recommendations and all, but I dont know where to apply. I’m applying for financial aid, and needed some colleged that would match me. Can you guys suggest me some colleges where I could be accepted with good aid? I know this is a lot to ask, but I reallly need help!
