The Indian Thread #20 (a)

I have a friend who’s got one during early(recruited athlete). Don’t think too many internationals get them for academics in any case.

The colleges email them to you as well as physically mail, so you would know before the mail reaches you. Penn put up a video for all its likely admits on their website and youtube.

Back door entry to Columbia !!!

Excepted full ride at Adelphi’s 4+2 Joint degree BS+MS program with Columbia. :-D

So is this a good program ?? So if I do get rejected at all my top colleges, should I go here ?

Any advice will be helpful.

^^ Oh, so u get into Adelphi Univ. for 4 years and then automatically get into Columbia for 2 years if u have good grades at Adelphi.
Thats great man!! That is a gr8 idea if u get a full ride and have a chance to attend Columbia too…

Ya if I graduate with a 3.3 GPA and get a recommendation from the director of the joint program.

Guaranteed entry to Columbia if I complete these two requirements.

That works with a whole host of Liberal Arts Colleges that Columbia is affiliated with, check out their website.

Congratulations Anirudh!
The only backdoor entry I knew was a 3+2 program with 3 years of a liberal arts college and 2 years of Columbia SEAS. I’m sorry but I don’t know much about the Adelphi program, but I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks

Oh Lord… my boards are definitely getting effed.
OMG is the UCB notification date 29th?
great. So either my birthday will be excellent, or a total sucker.

^Hello there! :D

Congratulations to all for your acceptances! :)

…and hello Indians! :P

Anyone counting down to pi day? ;)

Me
And also … I am expecting to hear from Georgia Tech 4 days before Pi day.

Wow. I have no inspiration to do anything at all
Plus, I have no Boards … and my exams are in May.

Does anyone know how to make time go by faster? :p

@Tizil7: Me too! Senioritis is killing me.

May…AP exams?

We should build a time-travelling machine! :D

Think of me. I have even graduated from school.

No exams… Nothing

^That’s… amazing.
I have to suffer until the end of May.

What do you guys want to major in?

Pol Sci

Anirudh, did you apply as a transfer applicant or freshman?
I agree, your position is worse :p

I’m currently really interested in application based sciences. Though I might just take a fancy to economics or financial engineering.

Freshman

Sent from my SGH-T959 using CC

I’m pretty conflicted. I’m also considering the sciences (perhaps medical school), but I don’t know for sure. There are so many other fields to choose from as well… international relations, economics, law. It’s hard to make a decision

I think it’ll be difficult to declare a major halfway through sophomore year.
