The Indian Thread #20

@tennischicaxo: I geddit. You are awesome then. BTW you put your smileys in reverse (: Why? And what does chicaxo mean? I am totally perplexed. If you answer these then I know you. Lol :P

guys im a bengali. 16 year old. studying juniour year at high school. ive got a problem here. calcutta doesnt have any AP exam centers. what do i do? plz help me.

Why do you wanna take AP exams? You don’t need to take them for applying to US colleges. They are only important for getting extra credit in college, I think. Most of us here haven’t taken them. But if you still want to do it look up the centres on collegeboard’s website.

plz answer my questions in
Questions related to my Undergraduate.

Oh Karan. So inquisitive. That will get you far, bro. And you think I’m awesome? That’ll get you further. Let’s see. My smiley’s are in reverse cause I’m unique (: And because I dont want this website to animate them and make them hideous (lol). And my username is tennischicaxo. Break it down to tennis chica xo. Define. Tennis is tennis. Chica is “girl” in Spanish. And XO is a common ending that people use in letters and e-mails that basically means “Hugs and Kisses”.

You have now been enlightened. You officially know me as well. Congrats.

well then even i “officially” came to know you. lol.

Boo, I hate Xs and Os. But I shoulda guessed  And take that straight emoticon.

hey karan do you know any indian who has gone to the ivies? except esconie i mean.

YES! I am back with a bang! Well not so much, considering my 2200 score, but nevertheless, I am happy that I can post now. Whatever :p

To comment on some general trends:

Indians at Ivys: Yes. Every Year. More than 30 kids? Or more. I don’t know why people don’t know this

AP Exams: somewhat helps in admissions but only because it shows you have taken a rigorous course load. But CBSE kicks … anyways, so don’t think about it.

Yeah … well … that’s all I guess.

CBSE pawns AP. and you still sulking with a 2200? Come on man.

Yeah Tizil. I guess it’s one of the highest scores here. Cheer up!

Hahaha. Back in a good mood now! And Aditya, not the highest. Karan’s got a 2210 :D

I knew you’d write that up. So I wrote one of the highest :P

Offo Tizil, CHILL. Touching 2200= awesomeness :)

Yeah, I’d kill for that!

^^That’s what everyone’s saying.
Also did anyone see the Colby supplement. So small and nice. Just one question. Why do you wanna go there?
Off topic- Check out the google.co.uk doodle today. Its awesome.

^^Woah its awesome
I would kill for it too :stuck_out_tongue: The sad part is, i never got below 2200 in my prac tests  And then school had to dump a prepreboard on us till 2 days before the test for which we killed ourselves to study :open_mouth:
Oh well.
Sorry for the random venting :frowning:
So whats your essay status guys? :D

Essays- Bad, very very bad. Lots of drafts. Finalized just one.

Hi guys…been a while :)

Cobalt, emoticon overload  hahaha

And essays? Eww … Don’t even say that word. There are so many of them. UPenn just sent me an e-mail telling me not to slack off in their supplement. So you can guess how bad it is.

I am writing a common Why Engineering Supplement and then am going to modify it to each college’s needs.

Submitting UCs in two-three days.
