Everyone, try taking the ACT exam
Its better choice for indians

specially @sidshah9 Im impressed by the rest of your profile

Thanks, and if I don’t get a good score maybe I’ll take ACT

@sidshah9 just remember this. My SAT super score was 600, 680, 700. My ACT composite first sitting is 33. Hope you get the idea

thanks for the heads up! I ll surely see what I can do

Hey guys, how are we supposed to send our school transcripts to colleges?

Post the results as soon as you get them :!!

How many of you gave the November SAT?

Anyone here for Hkust, HKU or Chinese uhk

YAYYY! Did well on the Subject tests.
Got 800 math1 800 physics 790 chem!

Congrats, but why din’t you take the math 2, its usually better for Indian students to take math 2

looks like @vanshmurad was correct, retaking the SAT din’t make much difference. I’m taking the ACT now

@prabhu1998 dont be overjoyed, many elite college dont accept maths 1

Hey guys! What are your school’s grading scales like for 11th and 12th? I have a B (50-59.9) in math in 11th, so I was wondering how colleges would see that. I used an online calculator and according to that my GPA is 3.90. Other wise everything else is fine - A+ in all other subjects and 10 CGPA in 9th and 10th.
Anyone got any info?

@shystarryskies we dont report in gpa, we report in percentage for 11 and 12

@vanshmurad My school has converted each subject into grades using the scale:
A+ = 80-100
A= 70-79
B+= 60-69
B= 50-59
C= 40-50
D= 33-39
F= <33

@shystarryskies Its really poor on your school’s part because its CBSE guideline for A+to be in 90-100
Which board does your school follow ?

Hey Vansh, is it worth taking the ACT in December on Standby? I saw on the website that score reports take 2 weeks - 8 weeks. If the scores take more than 3 weeks it wouldn’t be worth it. How much time did it take to get your score?

I scored a 1920 on the SAT.

@sidshah9 are you definitely taking the ACT?

@vanshmurad Thing is, where I live, all the schools follow the exact same system. It’s a CBSE school. According to my counselor, it’s the official grade conversion from WES, so that’s why they do it. I assumed all schools do this though.
