@anjali: No, I don't think anyone on TiT applying to CMU is applying to the Qatar campus.

@k_twin: I was planning on applying to the UC's but, I decided not to. They are just too big for my taste. :D

Well, for me at least, having lived in the gulf for most of my life, I'll be happy for a change. I'm not applying to CMU at all (Qatar or US campus), as I didn't really feel much of a connection to the school, while I was researching it.

My problem is the same as that of TWISTr's . Well I found out in WES website that the grade conversion of TWISTr's % ( 51-59) is B+. Not bad eh !

I'm in the same boat as TWISTr so If I'm wrong let me know.

If colleges actually do use WES to convert indian grades. Well, then I think almost every Indian will be getting an A or an A+. And I actually don't have a problem with that ;)

Do transcripts need to have 12th grades? My mid-terms are not over and I need to send the transcripts to a few universities.

send the midterm results when u get them...the universities will accept them...

So its perfectly fine if transcripts don't have 12th grades? I need a confirmed answer on this ...

Transcript should contain grade 12 marks. Ask your principal to title your mid-term results as "Predicted Marks". That would be fine.

Your first term would be done though?
Midterms could be your prelims or your predicted marks for the board.

Yeah, I'd rather wait for my mid-terms to get over than send first term marks ... lol

Anyone done with any interviews yet?

i gave MIT interview...but last year....didn't feel like giving it this year though...

what did they ask you :P ?

well...nothiing new as such...everything u would expect a college representative to ask...the same old things...why, how did u come to know, ur qualities, ur weakness, bla bla...nothing to be anxious of..just becoming urself is enuf i guess....

I've given MIT and Harvard as has my brother.
