Also messed up. For some reason I am going to bed later when I should be going earlier, possibly because I snooze in the earlier evening while watching something. Then I am up at 3 or 4. Ugh.
Been up since 5….
Me too.
I was up from 4-6. Finally fell back asleep and got a couple more hours. I wish I knew the answer to this.
Up off and on all night. will try to get more sleep now.
DH had been up most of the previous night helping with a high system update at work, and then ran a 5k yesterday! So he was pretty tired. So we went to bed really early for us and I got more sleep last night than I have in eons!!! Miracle!
I woke up too early today like the last few days but managed to fall back asleep. Then I dreamed. I commonly dream about travel and large buildings, but this dream was about being on a train that was built like a cruise ship. I was traveling with husband and son, and left our cabin/seats to find breakfast. First I found the Continental breakfast car, then went hunting for the full service meal. I still have very detailed memories of the entire buffet and how happy I was to finally find the pancake bar around a corner. And the people lined up to get food!
Then I tried to get back to our seats which I could not do. I found the shops, luggage storage, gym, medical bay, etc., but not the seats even after asking for help. I occasionally glanced out the window (when I was near one). We passed through Los Angeles and there were giant animated Spider-Man figures swinging by. We went over a river north of San Francisco where people were rafting. And still I wandered the train looking for husband and son. I woke up just as I was approaching yet another crew member.
Interpretations? I blame the newspaper (which had an article yesterday about possible new train routes to avoid the cliff in Del Mar) and my brother (who called son yesterday and I know is going on a cruise in January). So my sleeping mind conflated the two?
I’m up since 2am. I fell asleep at 10, woke up for the loo, and can’t fall back asleep. I’m past menopause but my body still gets weird at night - not sweaty hot flashes but I do get hot and then cold. Under the blankets, on top of blankets. Stress about dumb work stuff and a wake/funeral this week. I made a cup of chamomile tea and here I am. I usually try to stay off my phone but I’m wide awake. Also there’s a little snow outside and a full moon and I’m listening to my dog snore away so that’s good stuff.
