wow, that's bs. possibly two weeks late on admissions???? i'd flip a ****. well, hold on tight!!

hey, I just got my letter Brooklyn College/Macaulay - I was waitlisted.

wait, so do you think i might get a baruch letter today?

I think each campus has their own independent timeline, so no guarantees...btw, my bf got in thru brooklyn...

I got into BARUCH HONORS!!!! YEAH

I got waitlisted by Brooklyn

baruch macaulay!! im probably not gonna go though =/

btw...does macaulay this year give out ipods in addition to the laptops?
it didnt say in the letter, but in the past years, they gave them out.

Did everyone get a chess set from Baruch? ugh, they haven't sent me anything but an acceptance to normal Baruch and I applied way early too.

I received my letter from Baruch last week!! Woohoo I got accepted!!

I just took my math assessment test today for Baruch.

lebronfor2008mvp: in what form did you receive notification? e-mail? letter? CONGRATS btw :)

Wow free iPods?

This deal just gets better and better...

I know there's a combo (students who buy a laptop get a free iTouch), but I didn't think MHC would give them out.

i got my acceptance through mail.

Hey I am trying to find out some more info about housing for Macaulay Honors. I kno that next year Hunter, Queens, and Lehman will have free housing, but what about the other campus. Will Brooklyn college have housing for their Macaulay students???

twilight - why not go? a better offer?

Wow, I didnt hear about Lehman getting housing.

I got into hunter but I thought that city also does housing, could be wrong though.

Yup, Lehman Macaulays get free apartments in Riverdale or $3000 cash if they opt-out. I also heard about possible housing in City. If anyone has any info post it here. Especially if you have info on Brooklyn housing.

City and Queens offer housing, but it's not free. It ranges from about 9k-13k (per year) and Queens does not offer a meal plan. This is the first year QC is offering housing and I was hoping MHC students would get it for free, but nope :(

Brooklyn: "Brooklyn College does not have its own dormitories or other housing accommodations. Students who need housing should plan to arrive in New York allowing sufficient time before classes start in order to arrange housing. Low cost housing in New York City can sometimes take considerable time to locate. You should try to come to New York at least two weeks ahead of time and be prepared to spend a lot of time looking."

This is the website: Brooklyn College Housing Referral

opps...i made a mistake. Macaulay doesn't give out ipods...only Scholars do. So if you're in Baruch Scholars or something, then you get an ipod. But Macaulay gets better computers and $7500 for study abroad :D

Oh my, where oh where does CUNY get the $$$ for this? I personally didn't apply because free dorms/laptops/chess sets didn't seem appealing enough to overcome my desire to get out of the city... But wow, that's a lot of stuff. Oh materialism!
