Money money money!!

Let's find out the best way of living life, since it seems like you are all smartass people.

Hahahahahaha a bit cynical are we. jk well i think that the best way to live is in agnosticism; waiting for incontrovertable truth when it comes directly to you whether a revelation or what... also enjoy the people you are with because you never know when they will be gone. (philosophy of my ex-girlfriend who was sooooo sweet and thoughtful)

this might sound very vague and give you the impression that i'm boasting or something, but this is what i think.

The true meaning of life is achieving your state of being. The being is where you and nature become one, and there is no restriction to your behavior since it has not harm anyone even in its extreme.

imiracle....tell me if i'm correct...

so...you're saying that when we and nature are one...then we have achieved the meaning of life. In other words...when we die and lie under the dirt, where we are one with nature, we have fulfilled our purpose?? So, basically, to die is the meaning/purpose of our life?

By the way...I think the best way to live highschool is to have fun. But how is it possible to have fun when we have to study all the time? And if you're gonna say "don't study", that's not possible cuz' i need to study to contribute to the world in the future.

no what i'm saying is that we should reach a state where we don't destroy nature and learn to live inside it as a member of the family.

OHHHHH....i understand now.

I completely agree that that's one good way of living...but I like the idea of being able to control nature than to just be a member of it.

well here chochocho, what would happen if you found yourself in some dangerous paranormal experience? You pray, you pray and the dangerous frightening situation keeps on. What would happen then? If some kraxxi revelation of either the existence or nonexistence of God(s) came to you and it went against the ideals of Christianity (i assume); that there is only one path towards salvation, then what would you do? I'm not asking you to question your faith, but what would you do?

If I pray and pray and the paranormal situation continues on, then I'll pray. If that crazy revelation came, and it against Christianity, I, and my faith would not change--for the bible tells that such day WILL come. Why? Because I have faith in the Lord, and believe that IS the only path towards salvation.

so...is the meaning of life salvation for you?

In Christian terms, how do you live happy Right Now...i'll think about the future later, but I wanna know what it teaches about our present life.

heres something kind of deep.---The meaning of life has to do with cause and affect. We constantly encounter others and we actually translate into many. By changing, we affect the world. An angry person logically adds to hatred in the world and a caring person makes the world a better place. Change occurs as the result of an affect and thus we all have the ability to change the world and by changing the world we make changes that will last longer than we physically live.............something to that effect i guess....

Genius! Hey...where did you get that???
I totally agree that must be the meaning of life!

forty-two

:)

I actually figured out the real meaning of life last year.....i just forgot to write it down......i apologize SORRY!

Lock, now you remember? :)

HAHAHA...Lock is genius.

He's saying that the meaning of life is changing.
If we become a better person, by the law of cause and effect, the world changes too.
Therefore, if we become a much much better person by the time we die, the world become a little bit better too.
So the broad purpose of life would be to change the world. But in Lock's theory, WE have to change, in order to change the world for the better.

Meaning of life:

to be as happy as possible.

Yeah, and to be happy you have to change into a better person (Lock12's theory).

okytdy summed it up pretty well. Am i really a genious? haha but keep in mind that there is no ONE meaning of life...there are, in reality, 6 billion meanings of life (one for each person) because the meaning of life is based on perception by each individual......I love this thread..finally one that doesnt have to do with college and SATs
MICHIGAN 09'

"Am i really a genious?"

HAHAHAH...sorry I had to point that out (it's genius)

Life is whatever you want it to be.

thats not a meaning..thats a generalization No im not a genious, or am i.........

OK here it is. This thread is pointless. There's not a universal meaning of life.
