See this is where republicans and democrats can find a middle ground. I lean left, but I can be very conservative or very liberal. I feel like we need a place to just be. I'd perfer to stay away from debating because no one wins that way. We can discuss our ideas, but let's try having some respect. No bashing of the opposite side, and no pointing fingers.

I consider myself liberal, but i don't really like to get into debates, because the person you are trying to convince will still cling onto their views, and there really is no point, unless you are doing it for fun or that your view has been slandered and you want to right the wrong.

Republican Party = Party of bad ideas

Democratic Party = Party of no ideas

I'm liberal-leaning, but the parties both irritate me.

I only kinda consider myself a moderate because I'm strongly republican on some issues, strongly democrat on other issues, and most of the issues I'm a fence sitter.

Abortion is one example where I'm a fence sitter.

I'm strongly for stem cells, and I'm against some government support programs (not strongly, but still against) because they've been used improperly.

I feel that the democrats have supported some of the lower class people who are lazy and don't work when they can too much with welfare. My dad's a landlord, and one of the properties he rents out costs 1600 a month. However, the people living in there are on some kind of government support program where the government pays 1580 a month and the family only has to cover 20 a month.

That family currently owes us 200 dollars in rent (10 months of no payments) and the only reason my dad keeps them is because he's guaranteed like, 98% of the rent from the government. That family consists of two parents and their six children (ages 10, 15,16,16,17,18). Only the mother works... the father does not work, and none of the older kids work. None of them have any disability of any kind (except for the fact that they're all so fricken LAZY!).

Whenever I go to collect rent from them, they're either eating chips and watching TV, or playing game cube. Also, they've turned my family's property into a total dump.

What bothers us is that our taxes pay for their support program, which pays us the 1580 a month rent.

I hate lazy people who think they can stiff the government like that.

Yeah they should definitely make penalities steeper for welfare fraud and the guidelines stricter. B/c I hate people taking advantage of a system I see as helpful and built on what this country is all about: helping our neighbor when they are in need. They just give a bad name to people that really need it.
