The New Business Administration B.A. in 2010?

Business Administration, B.A.
This major will begin accepting applications for Fall 2010. Junior-level
applicants with the highest grades overall (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0) and
who satisfactorily complete required lower-division major requirements in
calculus (Mathematics 2A-B), economics (Economics 20A-B), statistics and
accounting (Management 7, 30A, 30B) will be given preference for admission.

So, what do you guys think of the business administration major that UCI will have starting in fall of 2010? Obviously, no one can judge it yet, but do you think it'd be seen favorably? i.e., by employers?

I'm considering it, because:

I want to do business administration

UCI's more academically challenging than places like CSU and Riverside

It's hella cheaper, as a public university.

Currently, my top choice is Haas, but I probably won't get in, so it seems like there isn't really any other alternative for a second choice, other than UCI. =/

Thoughts? Overall, I'm just curious how you guys think it'll turn out - recruiting-wise, ranking-wise, reputation-wise, etc.

It should have some synergy with the Paul Merage MBA program. I know someone who quit his job recently to attend the MBA full time while he could do it part-time.
