MAN I just got my official study guide (Second edition) and WOW the cover feels soooo nice and it has 10 practice tests :D I'm so happy...I'm gonna keep it clean...lol ...
is anyone else feeling this happy? lmao

No…nobody feels happy about the fact that they got a SAT book that they must now study from. Well, except you…

Only on CC…

I know what you’re feeling Korean_dreamer, it feels so precious…I’m really happy I got the book but i’m yet to take a practice test… so yeah.

anyone else feel like the questions in the book r way too easy? and that on the actual test ull be screwed? or is it just me?

no they should be the most reflective of all the tests out there of the actual difficulty of the test

Yeah, some of the questions seem simple [like math] but others like critical reading are a bit harder, at least for me.

@1253729 lol dude lighten up some people actually have fun doing SAT practice test. I love doing the math sections and love that clicking feeling when I just realized how to do a problem.

Ya I just got the 2nd edition too! Feels so much better than the first and I love how it actually has an accurate raw score to scaled score conversion table!

Haven’t finished the 1st one and I don’t think I’ll be done in time for my Oct. SAT, taking 2-week intervals between each test, we’ll see though, hope I can finished and pick up the new one by then:) Congrats btw to all who have them!

I would pick up the new one… but theirs only 3 new tests out of the 10 in comparison to the first edition… seven of the test are the same… is their anything else that special in the new edition that would persuade me to buy it?

well speaking of the practice tests, i have one question. On the first practice test in the book, section 3, #17 (page 400), I keep getting 50 instead of 25, which is the answer. Could someone explain this?

3 tests are really valuable in the long run. I mean it could boost your score a lot, just because you have more experience with the real thing. Besides that, I think it’s pretty much the same thing. I wish CB would sell SAT’s like they do PSAT’s but they don’t. Another good option is to pick up the 10 Real SAT’s. It’s not the New SAT format but the math and CR sections are really familiar, a lot of the math is recycled and stuff.

I haven’t seen the old one so this 1 seems nothing but a blue book to me lol…

I’m worried I wont be able to finish my preparations b4 my test which is on 10th of Oct. Going to England on Wed for 2 weeks and I’m 100% sure that I’ll through my SAT books aside and go have fun… I HATE THE SAT!!!

@Junoon
I think another reason you should get the new one is the fact that you get actual scores (without vague ranges) on the three new tests.

^and there’s always the discount that you receive from the Online Course if you buy the book, and now the online course has 10 tests.

@jva, the answer is 50…

The fact that there are only three new test doesn’t excite me. I bet those three new tests are the same ones they released for the online course. lol

they’re actaully not the same…i just checked ,chik chikka!
