The New Sat 2005 Edition By Kaplan

I just bought this book yesterday, and I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on this book...but i dont know if someone can tell me how good it is if they havent taken the SAT yet..well if anyone can tell me anything i would appreciate it

I got the book too and it looks pretty good. I haven't done any of the practice tests. I read the entire writing section the night before the psats and i managed to go up from a 62 to a 71 on writing. I'm working on crit reading now. My 2 cents.

Thanks icyfire...the book is sooo big lol it seems like it should help at least a little bit.

are we the only two people that have this book!?!?!

i got this book and though i didnt do much of the practice tests, it doesnt seem to be much of a help. the book is written with way too much obvious advice and not enough practice problems in my opinion

also, the cd is not too useful. itsjust more practice tests

I have a book on the new SAT by Kaplan, and it's crap. For example, in the third practice test, a math problem has 5 choices, with none of them being the right answer. I wasted a lot of time on that problem trying to figure out what I did wrong, and subsequently, I did poorly on the math part. It's a typo, and it's not the only one. There's another one I'm aware of, in the Critical Reading section. This sort of stuff really diminishes your confidence in a book.

"not enough practice problems in my opinion
