Is anyone practicing questions? Is anyone relaxing? What is everyone doing tonight?

I am stressed out beyond belief.

Skimming PR's math section, along with the writting part. I'm not really sure what to expect from the written part, but its all good.

One question, I have. For some reason im having a mental block, and can't remember how to use the apostrophe. Example It's and Its' how do I know when to put before and after the "s"?

I'm stressed too! I will probably do a practice test or two yet tonight, but for now I'm just doing my best not to think about it. (Escapist of me, I know, but hey, it works :) )

It's is short for it is, I do not believe that Its' would ever be used, but of course a recent science practice test has all but destroyed my mind, so what do I know.

Not nearly as escapist as me, I have not done a single practice test today or anything, trying to rest my brain from the pain it was delt practicing yesterday.

Isn't there a hurricane coming? Maybe it will postpone all our test dates a few weeks...

I really don't know what to go over. I mean, I don't want to be all night practicing. I'm pretty stressed, and I guess my main concern is trying to relax.

Everyone should just chill out and watch a movie, or something and you'll be fine. I found that when I took the practice test on my computer, I did better by quite a bit. I'd say because having aol instant messanger, along with rap music in the back round me feel calm. :)

Yeah same here, I keep wanting to spend an all nighter studying or something, just to ease my nervousness. I figure I will be better off getting a decent nights sleep though, especially since like you said what in the world should we go over.

First time taking a standardized test that actually matters, meh.

To bad rap music is not allowed in the testing center. heh

I can never get a decent night's sleep the night before a standardized test. This will be #4 for me (2 SATs, second ACT.) How about everyone else?

Forgot about the PSAT. It sort of counts.

First time.. And im not sure if I will have a second try either, if I take it first thing next year will I get my scores back in time to submit them to schools with rolling admissions, ie: apply early; such as the University of Michigan?

Would be a big relief if I knew I could have a second try.

I don't know anything about the University of Michigan's policies, but most colleges will still use scores from the first fall testing in their ED/EA decisions. If you are lucky enough to live in or near a state that offers September testing (I don't :( ) it should be no problem at all.

Damn. I dont either, I live in Michigan. So October 22 would be the earliest, would that create a problem?

I don't think it would pose a problem. You might, however, have to pay extra to rush the scores to ensure that they arrive on time.

Do they offer the ACT in August or September?

Good, that makes me feel better. What formulas do we have to have memorized for the math section? Distance, midpoint, slope is that about it?

No August. They do offer it in September in certain states.

"The September 24, 2005, test date is only available in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington"

On formulas: The trig functions are essential (SOHCAHTOA); I can't remember if you need the quadratic formula or not. I hope not. I hate math. P.S. Whats the midpoint formula? I forgot.

Shouldn't need the quadratic formula, usually everything can be factored/solved without it.

Midpoint formula:

([x1+x2]/2, [y1+y2]/2) which equals the middle point.
