Nursing admissions is getting more competitive as applications are rising. I don't know is getting into the nursing is tougher than getting into LSA, however.

Hoedown is right on. Nursing is gaining momentum. It has been for the last few years. With the constent reminder of aging populations and very good employment prospects, many young ladies and gents are now looking into careers in Nursing. Michigan is one of the top 5 programs in the nation, so you can be sure it is in high demand. I believe, however, that in the case of nursing programs, what separates the successful candidate from the unsuccessful candidates is the reasons for wanting to becoming a nurse. I think successful candidates, on top of having shown a commitment to the sciences in High School, should show a passion for healing.
