The Official AP Chemistry Discussion Thread

dont forget that OH- is squared

did anyone else’s class completely skip organics…llike no mention of it watsover…if there a handful of ?'s on it…im screwed

ok guys… so 2 questions:
now that Terrence explained how to do a titration, and that the half equivalence point happens when pH = pKa…

What are some typical problems they will ask you, and how would you solve?

Anyone want to join an AIM chatroom made for AP chemistry?

A lot of times they ask questions about which of these solutions would be added to (some solution given above) in order to create a buffer. And they would give you the Ka values.

don’t worry about organics too much. our teacher skipped o-chem and nuclear chem, and I got 65/75 on the MC.

sure ill join

my sn is Answer705

I’m interested in joining the chatroom, whats your sn?

And Terrence, how would i solve those kinds of problems? (I just realized I hated those types of problems hahaha)

The chatroom name is APChemistryReview

Could someone invite me my sn is Ohsacul :D

Let me see if I can find one.

Easy Breeeeeeeeze! Easy 5

Im just worried about the Ka/Kb/Ksp problem. Im redoing all the ones off cb right now…

The barrons booK DOES have lots of errors in it. I’m going crazy.

Man I’m getting borderline 4’s on my practice tests… (Barrons) Bah, I need to review my acid/base…

Raw score 54/75.

Chances of getting a 5?

Do we need to know all the equations from the formula sheet for the MC (since we aren’t given it)? I don’t have all the thermo and electrochem ones committed to memory; should I bother memorizing them?

This is not the exact same thing but this is something similar.

Which weak acid has the strongest conjugate base?
(A) acetic acid (Ka = 1.8

Can anyone find some labs to practice? It’s either going to be calorimetry, titration(that was in 2007 though) or molar mass of a gas.

is barrons typically harder than the AP? Oh and does someone here want to provide a list of the colors of the ions/compounds? my teacher told me today, “oh you might want to know those, even though we have never gone over them in class”

Which question is typically the lab?
