I am not sure about this guys! I am so confused on where I should go!

@Shugahs nope haven’t heard from them but I imagine we are waiting due to our highly impacted majors. Apparently you are in the same boat @campfireweekend keep us posted !

@jwayne7392 Don’t worry, I’m pretty sure you’ll get into UCB. I had a friend who was transferring the same year as me and she got rejected from every UC, but got accepted to UCB as a rhetoric major. They’re usually a lot more holistic than the other schools.

Of course you should appeal! You have nothing to lose.

@ocnative I am thinking about it. I checked the page and it said that they don’t seriously consider an appeal unless there was a really troubling circumstance or there was proof that my grades were better and I forgot to put it in my application.

Decision: ACCEPTED!
Major: pre-sociology
Gpa: 3.68
Tap: No

Major pre: all but one finish in spring
EC: church group, girl scouts, key club, work experience
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Asian

I wrote a really strong personal statement so I guess that justifies my acceptance? Good luck to the rest of you! :)

@CompSciUCTrnsfr Dude I’m so so happy right now, I feel like we’re shoe-ins for UCB now! But to get rejected from UCD and UCSD is just weird… I thought SD would be a sure back up and I tagged, too! I guess a 3.96 isn’t good enough these days LOL

Played basketball all day to keep my mind off of the admissions and found out today…
Accepted!!!
Overall GPA: 4.0
Major: Pre- Business Economics
Major Requirements: Yes (Currently finishing one)
IGETC: Yes
TAP: No
EC: Worked at a financial firm for the past year, a lot of experience trading stocks, etc. (Nothing with school-related activities)
Personal Essays: Worked really hard on these! But I was primarily focused on UC Berkeley on one. Literally said “UC Berkeley can give me the best education”.

Still waiting on Haas to make a decision, but blessed to know that UCLA wants me. :-c

@nydallas Don’t expect scholarships to help that much because the financial aid office will just subtract the amount you receive from your FA package.

@jwayne7392 sorry to hear that… I’m actually surprised because your gpa is higher than average for those admitted last year. I’m a gender studies major too.

@uclammg Women’s History 1&2 and currently taking sociology of gender roles (those are the only gender studies related courses offered at my community college)
