<p>^^It is indeed meant to be satire. I forget, since I didn’t read it and only SparkNoted it almost two years ago, but I think the central satire was of bureaucracy, with a lot of other side stuff.</p>

<p>I’m sick the people who are my “friends”, they’re so damn moody; they’ll be great for a while and in the same day suddenly be all whiny or cold/distant.
And there’s one person whose known for being nice (don’t get me wrong most the time she’s great), but she’s majorly b****ed about a lot of the people who are close to her and are always there for her… this happened today too. She just seems ungrateful, and I wonder if there’s anyone she actually appreciates and likes.
But the worst thing about my situation is that I think my “friends” are probably more suited/better to be my friends then others around me who are merely acquintances.</p>
